FAQ
Does NativeLens upload my screen or audio?
Section titled “Does NativeLens upload my screen or audio?”Not on the local routes, which are the default. By design, screenshots, recognized text, audio, translations and glossaries stay on your PC. Text leaves your PC only if you turn on a cloud translation service, or connect your own online voice service, and confirm it — and then only the text to translate or to speak goes to that service. Speech recognition always runs on your PC, so your audio never leaves it.
Do I need a graphics card?
Section titled “Do I need a graphics card?”Not for most things: the Hy-MT2 1.8B translation model, speech recognition and screen text recognition can all run on the processor. The Hy-MT2 7B translation model runs only on a graphics card (video memory needed: TBD). We haven’t tested on a PC without a graphics card yet.
Is it safe to use with anti-cheat?
Section titled “Is it safe to use with anti-cheat?”NativeLens reads the screen the way screenshot tools do and doesn’t modify games. We can’t promise that every anti-cheat system will accept it.
